Dr. Anthony M. Chesser is a native of the Midwest and was raised in Western Illinois. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, where he played NCAA division III football for four years. He received his Medical School training at Rosalind Franklin University at the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.
Upon completion of his medical degree, Dr. Chesser was accepted into the prestigious Western Pennsylvania Hospital residency program in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he trained under the tutelage of Dr. Alan Catanzariti. His training included all forms of lower extremity pathology, especially revisional cases, as well as complex hindfoot reconstructions. While in Pittsburgh, Dr. Chesser authored articles on diabetic limb salvage, as well as published articles on techniques on midfoot reconstructions.
Dr. Chesser is honored to serve the people of Southern New Mexico for all their lower extremity needs. He continues to actively participate in research in order to provide superb care.
When Dr. Chesser is not at the office, he spends his time with his wife and daughter. He enjoys exploring the Southern New Mexico trails and landscapes with his family.
